Here in North Georgia, autumn is a welcoming time each year. The cooler weather rushes in and the leaves begin to turn. The bright colors light up the evening sun. And the pumpkins in the field start to show their true colors! The scarecrows are diligently watching over the pumpkin patch so we each can have the perfect pumpkin!
As the leaves begin to fall around the old wagon filled with bales of straw and wonderful pumpkins, you are invited to search for that perfect harvest decoration. Big Springs Farms has fresh gourds, Indian corn, dried gourds, corn stalks, birdhouses, concrete pumpkins and so much more!
There are a variety of pumpkins available. From the tiniest “wee be little” weighing approximately a pound to the “Big Max” weighing approximately 50-60 pounds. And all sizes in between! With hundreds of pumpkins to choose from, you are sure to find your perfect pumpkin!
Sit back and relax as you enjoy a scenic tour of the farm. The wagon ride will take you down by the lake as you make your way toward the planting field. There you will pass through the field planted in a variety of pumpkins and cornstalks. This is an old-fashioned country custom!
Come meet some of the friends around the farm. There are chickens in the coop. Meet a farm favorite, Willie the pig. See the miniature donkey, Mac. And the friendly goat, Gizmo. Along the hayride you’ll see the farm’s cows.
