This Halloween Weekend, escape, gather and refresh with tastes, sounds, and colors vibrant and diverse in A CITY UNEXPECTED.
Escape to Woodstock's miles of trails - whether it's single track mountain bike trails or widely paved multi-use trails. Gather at family-friendly events like the annual Scarecrow Invasion. Refresh at one of Woodstock's chef-driven eateries or award-winning brewery. Make plans to visit Woodstock and experience the crisp autumn air, vibrant fall leaves, and diverse autumn events.
The WDSTK Scarecrow Invasion takes place in Downtown Woodstock from October 1st through the 31st. This year we have over 165 displays.
The Woodstock Visitors Center hosts the contest and even produces a Scarecrow Invasion scavenger hunt. The visitors center also turned its art gallery into an Scarecrow Photo Booth.
Vote for your favorite scarecrow in the event at the visitors center. The votes are $1 each. The displays are so inventive and impressive. It’s incredibly difficult to pick a favorite!

– Christopher Brazelton, Executive Director
The Lantern Series is about conversations and community at its core. While world class performances will be taking place, the community as a whole will be able to come and converse. This series will strive to introduce new music, ideas, and cultures, that aren’t typical for the community.
