It is Walking Tour Time in Downtown Woodstock!!! The Downtown WDSTK Walking Tour Series will offer guided walking tours that will explore various aspects of the area. On the last Thursday of the month, April – October, guided tours will be offered with each month’s tour covering a unique topic. On a tour you can learn about the history of the area, be amazed by beautiful public art, be fascinated by weird & unusual downtown facts, and explore the planning that has went into making Downtown Woodstock one of the top downtowns in Georgia.

April 27th: Weird Woodstock
The Weird Woodstock walking tour will explore unique & interesting aspects of Downtown Woodstock. Weird Woodstock will highlight little know stories, funny facts, and unusual historical episodes, all related to Downtown Woodstock
May 25th: The History of Woodstock
The History of Woodstock walking tour will explore the history of Woodstock Georgia. On the walking tour you will learn the important role the railroad and cotton farming played in the founding of Woodstock, the unique history of many buildings in the area, families that had a major influence on Woodstock, and many other interesting historical facts you might be surprised to learn about Woodstock.
June 22nd: The Art of Woodstock
The Woodstock Art Walking Tour will explore the Public Art on display in Downtown Woodstock and will feature a stop at the Reeves House at Woodstock Arts. This tour is a great chance to learn more about the new Public Art on display in Downtown Woodstock, why Public Art is so important, and explore the current exhibit on display at the Reeves House
July 27th: The Names Of Woodstock Past
The Names Of Woodstock Past walking tour will explore the historical origins of the names of various roads, parks and downtown landmarks. Learn more about the interesting history of Woodstock by learning The Names of Woodstock Past
August 31st: The Art of Woodstock
The Woodstock Art Walking Tour will explore the Public Art on display in Downtown Woodstock and will feature a stop at the Reeves House at Woodstock Arts. September 28th: How Downtown Woodstock Revitalized
This walking tour will explore the re-development of Downtown Woodstock. Beginning in the early stages of the 2000’s the city underwent a planning process that led to the creation of one of the top and most visited downtown districts in the southeast. This tour will explore how this transformation took place.
October 26th: Weird Woodstock
The Weird Woodstock walking tour will explore unique & interesting aspects of Downtown Woodstock. Weird Woodstock will highlight little know stories, funny facts, and unusual historical episodes, all related to Downtown Woodstock
These tours are great to take for anyone interested in learning more about Woodstock Georgia!
Tickets for a walking tour are $5 person. Tickets go on sale two weeks before the tour date and can be purchased at the Woodstock Visitors Center or at the Downtown Woodstock Facebook and Instagram pages
On the tour dates the tours will be offered at 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm and 7:30pm Tours will last 30 to 45 minutes.
